Yesterday, baby Savvy and I interviewed Valerie Lewis (@iamvlewis), one of the founders of the #PassthescopeEDU movement. Valerie shared with us some of the ways #PassthescopeEDU will be helping teachers experience the ISTE conference virtually. Valerie has also agreed to let me share her story in a new book series, EdSheroes: Women Transforming Education with their Resilience. We asked her what inspired her to become a teacher and how she stays positive as an educator, especially when it gets tough. Check out her interview below to be inspired. Catch all of Savvy’s livestreamed interviews on this blog and on Twitter (@ShellTerrell and via the #PassthescopeEDU hashtag).
